TRE® is a powerful, body-led practice that helps release deeply held stress & tension, reset your nervous system, and restore inner ease.
This isn’t about pushing or fixing. It’s about tuning in and creating space for your body to move, release, and re-pattern—naturally.

Expect gentle movement, somatic shaking, deep rest, and a sense of realignment you can take with you.
This experience is ideal for people who are curious about somatic practices, self-regulation, and embodied healing—not because something is broken, but because something in you is ready to reconnect.
Come as you are. All bodies are welcome and no experience is necessary.
This technique has multiple positive effects on the body, including:

This workshop is capped at 10 people to allow for an intimate, personalized experience.
What to expect:
Bring your mat or a blanket, and wear comfortable clothes for movement and stretching. You'll be stretching and fatiguing your leg muscles while upright for up to 30 minutes. During the practice, you can set your own pace. The shaking will be done lying on a mat and then we'll end with deep relaxation and reflection. No experience is necessary! TRE® is safe and effective for most people, and will leave you feeling rebalanced and calm.
About the Instructor: Carolyn Barnwell
Carolyn is a certified TRE® Provider (Tension and Trauma Releasing Exercises), and stress resilience coach and teacher. She's personally used the mind/body tools she teaches for nearly 20 years to release stress and anxiety while traveling around the globe producing documentaries for National Geographic and other mission-driven organizations. Whether facilitating in a group setting or private session, Carolyn is known for providing nervous system support that allows for states of truly restorative rest, deep insight, and joyful vitality. Carolyn believes tending to the nervous system is one of the most empowering and important things we can do as human beings, because it is foundational to how we experience life and make decisions.
