“Grief and love are sisters, woven together from the beginning. Their kinship reminds us that there is no love that does not contain loss and no loss that is not a reminder of the love we carry for what we once held close.”

― Francis Weller, The Wild Edge of Sorrow: Rituals of Renewal and the Sacred Work of Grief

Through slowing down and becoming present to what resides in the body, we can become intimate with states of being which we carry in our body. Our stories, both delightful and difficult, can be honored and understood through somatic work. Through this work, we allow ourselves time to process and live with grief and loss.

We will create safety through embodied meditation and then explore what is alive for us through simple somatic practices and breathwork. There will be opportunities for journaling and, only if wanted, a chance to share, witness, and support each other's stories. Through the container of a compassionate community, healing can occur. The sharing will be 100% optional.

This series is for anyone. Loss and grief can show up in many areas of our lives. Loss can be of a person, an animal, a part of ourselves, or a stage of our lives… It is how you define it, and how you feel it within your body and know it within your mind.
