This class offers a unique opportunity to embrace the inherent kinesthetic joy of being in your body—just as it is. Together, we’ll explore natural movement patterns that emerge from our biomechanics and sensory systems, engaging with gravity and the elegant principles of physics. Designed to be accessible to all and to feel like a dance or a moving meditation, the class incorporates neurodevelopmental movement patterns and somatic practices, including Body-Mind Centering and Laban-Bartenieff Fundamentals. Through playful improvisational scores and engaging exercises, we will nurture a deeper connection to ourselves, our environment, and one another.
