Note: For people signing up and pre-paying for the series, The Psychology of Eating at $200 or $225, this class is free.
Why do we eat? Why do certain patterns feel difficult to change? How do emotions, stress, and our nervous system influence our relationship with food?
This introductory workshop explores the many factors that shape eating behaviors and offers tools for developing greater awareness and choice.
Together, we will explore:
The difference between physical hunger and other reasons we eat
Emotional eating and why it can become difficult to interrupt
The role of habits, stress, and learned patterns
Approaches for creating a more compassionate and balanced relationship with food
This workshop is open to up to 18 participants and is designed as a stand-alone educational experience. It also provides a foundation for those who are interested in continuing into the Cultivating a Healthy Relationship with Food experiential group series.

Materials included
This small-group series offers an opportunity to explore your personal relationship with food in a supportive and reflective environment.
Through education, conversation, and experiential practices, we will examine the patterns and experiences that influence eating behaviors and explore new ways of responding with greater awareness and self-compassion.
Topics include:
The connection between our emotions and eating patterns
Habits the brain, and automatic responses
Self-criticism, shame, and secrecy
Understanding and meeting our true needs
Working with fears
Each session will include experiential practices such as meditation, journaling, mindful eating exercises, and creating personalized coping tools to support greater awareness and resilience.
This series is limited to 6–10 participants to support connection, safety, and deeper exploration.
